February 2025 Newsletter 

Let's face it, January is over, which means two things: the shortest month of the year is ahead of us and Columbia alumni events you won't want to miss!

From celebrating Black History Month with our MOAD Talk & Voodoo Love Dinner to diving into academic discussions and entrepreneurship meetups, we’re embracing the spirit of learning, reflection, and community that brought us all together at Columbia in the first place.

Whether you're craving a new experience or reminiscing about old ones on College Walk, now’s the time to get involved. Join an event, suggest a new one, or just follow along to stay connected. We can’t wait to see you out there!

Museum of African Diaspora: Talk & Dinner

Date: February 22
Time: 2 - 6 PM PT
Location: Mountain View City Hall

🎟️  RSVP  🎟️ 

In celebration of Black History Month, please join us for a lecture on the topic "Re-Mapping Home: Reflecting on and Reshaping the Cartographic Practice." After the lecture, there will be an hour of free time to explore the museum as a group, before walking to dinner at a nearby Black-owned restaurant, Voodoo Love! We hope to see you there!

 

What’s on deck for 2025

This year, we’re rolling out:

💡 venture and entrepreneurship meetups for the big thinkers & builders,
🧘 wellness-focused events for a better you,
📚 academic deep dives for those craving rich discussion,
🤝 networking and socials for some fun and new faces.

And, of course, we’ve got the classics, like our annual Opera Outing 🎭 and Winery Party🍷, because some traditions are too good to mess with.
