Adah’s Stairway is named for our very own walking guru and author of the Stairway Walks in San Francisco, Adah Bakalinsky. Nature in the City’s team of local naturalists and educators are working with neighbors to care for this public place and create a habitat sanctuary or the many songbirds and insects that visit and make nests here!

Volunteer tasks may include weeding, heavy and light pruning, planting, moving cobblestone and watering––be prepared to get dirty!

Arizmendi Bakery provides pastries for volunteers. Please bring water and heavy shoes.
