Columbia Club Annual Film Night 2015

We are proud to once again hold our extremely popular film event with our wonderful hosts at the Delancey Street Screening Room! Join the Columbia University Club of Northern California in welcoming School of the Arts Associate Professor Dan Kleinman to our Annual Film Night, highlighting the award-winning work of Columbia film students. 

Selected by major film festivals around the country, the Columbia short films on our schedule showcase the talent and creativity of Columbia students.

Four films from four countries and four major film festivals

Invisible Spaces (Dea Kulumbegashvili, 3rd Year Film Student) – from Georgia.

            Cannes Film Festival 2014. 

            This was Columbia’s first film in the main shorts competition at Cannes since 2002. 

Immaculate Reception (Charlotte Glynn '13SOA) – from the U.S.

            Sundance Film Festival 2015.

            Montreal World Film Festival 2014.

            Best Film Award, Columbia University Film Festival 2014.  

El Adios (Clara Roquet (4th Year Film Student)) – from Spain.

            Best Director Award, Columbia University Film Festival 2015.

            Clara Roquet is co-writer of the award-winning Spanish feature film Long Distance. She was named Best New Screenwriter               at the Malaga Film Festival.

Pitter Patter Goes My Heart (Christoph Rainer '15SOA) – from Germany.

            Tribeca Film Festival 2015.

            Best Film Award, Columbia University Film Festival 2015.

            Christoph Rainer was named Best Emerging Filmmaker at the Toronto International Film Festival.
